Questions about the installation of FreeBSD

booting 3.1 img: no screens found

Postby pedrito » Mon Sep 09, 2013 4:58 pm

Hi.
An Fatal Xorg server error is detected at booting: "no screens found"
I have a NVIDIA GTS 450.
Any possible tweeks, as the driver apparent ignores this "unsupported device". ( message listed in /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
Should I wait for a future release?
Thank you.

I will like you to try 3.5 beta 2, see if it works for you. This will help a lot!

Hi EricBSD
It did not. I will wait for a future release to try again.
Talk to you soon.

There seem to be no FreeBSD solution. But installing DrangonFly on another slice with its boot manager helps. May be grub or another boot manger will do it to.

Anyway, I got it running for now ..
