GhostBSD4.0-RC1-amd64 now running on my HP-G62 laptop.
It took some doing but I have finally got it installed, wifi configured, Firefox running, & me posting this.
This was the 8th installation attempt, but I have to say that it looks like FreeBSD does not like to be installed from a secondary USB socket.
Trying to install from either 32bit or 64bit .img kept on crashing, tried each 3 times, so I tried to install FreeBSD 10.0 32bit, & found that it was having problems with CAM losing my USB install pendrive. That led me to try a different USB socket with the 64bit GhostBSD pendrive, which led to success.
(Under Linux, I have no problems installing from the USB socket that I was using, so I am presuming it is a BSD problem.)
So, if anyone else is having problems trying to install it, try your primary USB socket.
N.B. One thing I think that will need to be addressed is to allow for SSD drives - no swap partition & noatime needs to be added to fstab entries - to save on excessive writes to disk.
