Installing on slice

Postby peter » Sun May 12, 2013 8:12 pm

H!

I've split a 500GB disk into 3 slices (ad0s1,ad0s2,ad0s3) and installed GhostBSD on ad0s3.
When rebooting the boot process hangs with:

FreeBSDx86boot
Defaul:t 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel

Isn't it possible to use a partion ? Or do I have to use the first one? Something else ?

There seem to be no FreeBSD solution. But installing DrangonFly on another slice with its boot manager helps. May be grub or another boot manger will do it to.

Anyway, I got it running for now ...

I looked at your wiki page, but the problem is that the VM is set had : 2 Gb of RAM and 128 Gb of HDD... More than requirements in your wiki page...

And previous RCs could be installed flawlessly in both VirtualBox and Qemu. And I do not have any PC to install GhostBSD on it :(

Thanks anyway for your answer.
