GhostBSD 32-bit OpenBOX ISO does not boot completely under VMware

Initial boot for install fails under VMware Fusion with 256M RAM and 20GB hard disk (FreeBSD 32-bit defaults). The error messages flash by too quickly to see, but seem to refer to write errors on md0.
Create a new VM under VMware Fusion Version 4.1.0 (529802) running on Mac OS X 10.7.5.
Select the ISO as the boot disk.
Select FreeBSD as the operating system.
Accept all the defaults.
