GhostBSDCon is a conference for Desktop users and developers on BSD based systems. The conference is for anyone developing, deploying and using Desktop systems based on any BSD variant and specifically leaning toward GhostBSD.

GhostBSDCon 2025 is an inaugural online technical conference. High quality technical papers and Engaging community presentations will be curated to support ongoing technical development and *BSD community experiences.

Technical Papers and Community Presentations must be submitted for consideration in PDF, by email. See the GhostBSDCon 2025 Call for Papers and Presentations for details.

Technical Papers submissions that are too long, too short, or talk proposal based with no associated paper will be rejected. Community Presentations must engage with and tell a story featuring the BSD ecosystem.

If you are doing something interesting with a BSD operating system, please submit a proposal. Both users and developers are encouraged to share their experiences.

Sponsorship

GhostBSDCon2025 is an inaugural event. The event committee, venue, and GhostBSD resources are volunteer and in-kind. We hope to offer an award for Best-in-Show by popular vote to support ongoing community efforts.

  • If BSD makes the work you do – work, please consider sponsoring.

  • If BSD enables your ideas to become action, consider sponsoring.

  • If your business wants to be seen by the BSD community, you know what I’m going to suggest?! Search for ‘reasons to sponsor an event’, review the 2025 Sponsorship Application Guidelines, and get in touch.
